This was a very short week. The Thanksgiving Holiday really cut into training. While I didn’t get as much as I wanted, training that is not turkey (I got plenty of that)
the time I did ride was very efficient. I rode on Thursday and Sunday for about 40 minutes each, 30 minutes of that in the sweet spot. My weight went up by a few pounds due to the extra food but by this afternoon I was already back to 166. The other pound or two will come off in the next couple of days.
The Week Ahead
I plan on getting right back into things starting tonight and continuing all the way through the week. My plan is to get at least 5 hours of riding in with at least two of those 5 hours in the zone. I will do 2×20 minutes tonight, 1×40-50 minutes tomorrow, and 2×20 on Thursday plus outdoor rides on the weekend. My focus through the end of the year is on riding in the zone of 85-90% of FTP as much as I can while still keeping my sanity. When January hits I will increase the intensity of at least one of the days to 95% of FTP and keep building from there.
That’s about it. I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving.
Ride On!
