Stone Brewing Company makes an American Porter that has a subtle smokey essence to it. Here is our review:
This is a good beer. It pours dark, but not cloudy, and has a creamy head with good lacing. The smell is mostly malt but there is a little hint of smoke in the background. The smokiness comes out in the taste along with the malt and a bit of caramel and chocolate. The beer has a nice, clean finish.
This beer goes great with BBQ (one of my other loves). It’s well balanced and smooth drinking and is full of the right flavors. Give it a try and see for yourself!
