A couple of weeks ago I posted the first of many beer polls asking how long you have enjoyed good beer. We had eight responses to that, which is not bad for a first poll I guess. The results (so far) show that 1/2 the responders have been enjoying quality beer for 10 years or more. That must mean we have some serious beer aficionados reading this blog
On the other hand, the other half has been enjoying good beer for less than 10 years with 3 of those less than five years. To you new beer geeks, welcome!
Now that we have determined that a bunch of you have been spending your hard earned cash on beer for a while I want to know how much you spend on good beer, whether it’s at your local beer bar/pub or in the beer store, for yourself and/or family. This total should not include $$’s spent for the massive beer and BBQ blowouts you have each week in your backyard!
Here’s the poll with my answer, between $50 and $100 (closer to $50), already entered:

I usually go to the liquor store about once a month. I’m not a heavy drinker, but I do drink about 2 or 3 beers an evening. I spend on average, around $100.
You are probably right about average for the typical “beer geek” who enjoys good beer.
My typical consumption is 1-2 beers about 5-6 nights a week. Depending on what beers I’m drinking I typically spend $50-$100/month on beer
