As you read this I am hopefully getting close to, or have already eaten some Texas BBQ as part of my short trip to San Antonio and Austin. As I said earlier this week, I have picked out some places to go to and get some good BBQ. Thinking about which restaurants to visit in a new town takes a little work. Wouldn’t it be great if I had a list of the best BBQ joints all over the place from people who were really into BBQ? Well, I’m hoping that Barbecue Cooking Guide can build a good list of BBQ restaurants worthy of visiting. But, to do that we need some help. That’s where you come in.
OK, here is your chance to tell the world about the best BBQ place in your town, or anywhere you have been. Got someplace that has the best ribs ever?, tell us about it. How about your local place with the killer pulled pork sandwiches?, share it with all of us.
I’m sure most of us would rather cook our own BBQ most of the time but there is nothing wrong with going out to get some good food. There are a huge number of quality BBQ establishments large and small, each one of them putting out their own unique mix of BBQ. Life’s too short to eat bad barbecue so lets hear about the places that are doing it right!
In order to make this something that our staff (me) can manage I need to lay out some ground rules:
- All reviews are subject to final approval of Barbecue-Cooking-Guide.com
- All credit will go to the reviewer.
- Links back to review writers web site will be allowed.
- No selling of product allowed.
- Photos accepted but please keep file size small.
- Review is exclusive to Barbecue-Cooking-Guide.com.
- Posting to Barbecue-Cooking-Guide.com is considered acceptance of the requirements.
I reserve the right to accept, or reject any review submitted. Please keep the reviews relatively brief (under 500 words tops) and family friendly.
The format of the reviews is pretty open but I’d like to know at least the city and state as well as anything that a particular place does that you think is unique and worthy of others to try. As we collect lots and lots of reviews I will set up some way of sorting by city, state, etc. This will be a work in process but I think it will be a valuable resource for BBQ lovers everywhere.
So, if you have a review of a BBQ restaurant, send it to mark@barbecue-cooking-guide.com and put “restaurant review” in the subject line. As I get reviews I will post them as soo as I have time and I will contact you via email if I have any questions.
